This week has been a very pleasant Spring Break. Each day we have had a little something planned. It was just enough to keep our spirits up and feel like we were doing something and having fun, but not overwhelming with too much packed in. This morning the kids and I were going to go to the park while I ran and they rode their bikes on the track. Just before we were about to go out the door a friend called and asked if we wanted to meet up with her and her boys to go for a nature hike. We were up for the change in venues and happily agreed to meet them in a bit.It was cold and windy around the lake, but beautiful.
The kids found a turtle, whom they affectionately named "Snapper",

great trees to climb- live and dead,

rocks to be thrown and scaled

muck to be stepped in and an overall great time!

Even though I am a planner I love it when last minute things happen and great adventures are created when just going along rather than mapping it all out!
After that we were off to "our planned part of the day" for lunch and visiting with friends to complete our great day!
1. sushi and pasta salad
2. climbing rocks
3. being in nature

It is nice to have structure and plans, but so rewarding to accept spontaneity. Glad you all had a good week.
