Old Home Day

One of the great things about living in a smaller town is that they have fun activities. In the center of town every Labor Day we celebrate on the common with friends,
frog jumping contests,

Alyssa with her frog, Licorice

Fried dough,
a parade (thankfully the kids didn't have to march in it this year with soccer), bed races, a 5 K run (I got as far as thinking about running this year for a few minutes and then changed my mind), booths with informational stuff and junk food, an art contest and an overall good time. This year we brought Lola and we didn't get very far without someone wanting to pet her. She loved all the attention!

1. sausage, pepper and onion grinders
2. a long weekend
3. Lola

The frog jumping is staight out of a Curious George episode! How fun!
