Tonight's menu

Tonight for dinner Xander made:
  • spaghetti and meatballs
  • garlic toast
  • peas and corn
  • apples and orange slices
  • with a HUMONGOUS devil’s food whoopie pie for dessert!

YUMMY! Our compliments to the CHEF!

He had to pass off a cub scout requirement to make dinner and I am SO glad he did! It was really nice to spend the time with him in the kitchen. It worked out perfectly since Alyssa is at a sleepover.

Teppanyaki anyone?

Tonight we went out to celebrate Awesome report cards! The kids wanted to go to Jasmine again for Teppanyaki. Our guy tonight was really funny. He kept telling the kids “no smile- no food!” and “no baby saki- no food.” They had a blast getting squirted in the face with baby saki a.k.a. orange soda.

  1. getting sharing time all done for Sunday
  2. kids who care about their grades
  3. Paul’s boss telling him to take the family out to dinner because he’s doing a great job. 2 for 2 now. What are the chances of this correlating again in June for final report cards?

My dog's packin'

My dog’s packin’.

Say what?

A 357 magnum?

No just the hard stuff-

Veggie n’ fruit mini’s.

Yes, I am mean! I make her pack her own treats and bring them along for the run.

Now that warmer weather is here and I don’t have to wear a jacket I don’t have a place to put her treats. So I came up with a great way for her to bring them herself!

Of course fashion is a must! Look how great her “bag” matches the rest of her accessories. If she must pack her own bag at least she does it in STYLE!

**A special thanks to Ellen the maker of the “coin purse” aka treat bag. Bet you never thought it would be used this way!**

  1. 1/2 day at school
  2. out to lunch with the kids
  3. cute accessories

The Unicorn of couches

For weeks, well maybe a few months now... I have been looking for couches for our family room. At first the quest started out with a sectional and realizing that wouldn't work out in our room I switched over to 2 couches instead. I have to admit I am rather picky and found tons of couches I didn't like, were too expensive or looked good, but were uncomfortable- Paul calls those "waiting room" couches. They look nice, but not one you would get comfy in and watch a long movie. Paul dubbed it that we were looking for the unicorn of couches, "you have heard of it, but never actually seen it."

I found a couch online that I really liked, but the closest store was in NYC. It worked out great since Paul had a business trip to NYC this week and he was able to go and sit on the couch to make sure it met his approval and was NOT a waiting room couch. Thankfully it passed the test!

Well I am here to say the Unicorns have been captured and they should be here somewhere towards the end of the month! Woo Hoo! I am so excited!

1. sunshine with WARM weather

2. couches ordered

3. no school today!

Easter package

The kids are always so excited when they see packages outside our garage. The problem is they are ALMOST always for Paul with work stuff. But they never give up hope! And yesterday was their LUCKY day!
Grandma Barbara strikes again with a fun filled Easter package! A little something for everyone- Chocolate, bandana for Lola animal magazines for Lis & more chocolate. Although I believe Lola would prefer the chocolate. We promised Paul we would save some for him. Mmmmmmm!

Xander said, "I love Grandma Barbara! And not just because she sends us candy."

1. getting every last errand run yesterday
2. a fun lunch with friends in between
3. an unexpected package
4. dessert with the girls
