25 days of Kindness

We focused on 25 days of kindness last year rather than buying an expensive advent calendar. Of course we still have the chocolate one. They only get their chocolate for the day if they have done what it says on the list below. We had a great time with it. I got so tired of focusing on the materialistic part of Christmas and wanted to focus more on serving others. You have to look at your calendar and plan what works for which busy nights and adapt it to your family! Each morning they get the service from an envelope. For the treasure box I put in little ornaments, Christmas cakes (Little Debbie ones) a small candy. Simple things that they can choose from. Come join us in serving others for 25 days!

Love it! I'll have to keep this in mind as Annie gets older. What a great way to truly remember the specialness of the season.
