Whenever Grandma Barbara (Paul's Mom) comes to town she brings her clippers and Thurston gets a proper cut. She is a professional dog groomer and does a smashing job! Much unlike the "supercuts" hack job that I do on Thurston with my dull scissors at the end of Spring.

He really doesn't mind his bath. He just has to make you feel sorry for him.
Not too shabby for an old man! He was 14 years old in September. Which is 98 in people years!
I think he looks like a puppy again with his nice new do!

We used to own a 12-year-old purebred white long hair persian cat. He was forever getting hair mats, so about every 6 months we'd shear him like a sheep. He looked like a drowned rat! But he actually liked not having all that hair on him...
