Boston Breakers & ODP Girls

June 16, 2013 Father's Day

Alyssa and the girls from the ODP program got an awesome opportunity! They were invited to train with the Boston Breakers coaches on the field prior to the game. So for an hour and a half Alyssa and the goal keeper girls were coached and ran drills with the Breakers keeper coach.

I love watching her in action! She just goes for it!

After the training some of the Breakers came out on the field to answer questions. These women are better than rock starts in these girl's eyes! It was what a lot of them are aspiring to be!

Then it was time to watch the professionals play the game!
It was a great Father's Day for Paul! He loves watching soccer and being with his family!

At half time the ODP girls got to go out on the field.

The Breakers new goal keeper, Alyssa Naeher, made her debut after the first half. She wouldn't let a broken nose keep her down! She had them pack her nose and played on!

I had trouble deciding which to watch the game or the amazing sky!

Afterwards Lissy got her shirt signed by a lot of the girls. We weren't sure if Alyssa N. would make it out to sign autographs. We could see her in the back with a bag of ice on her nose. But Lissy kept saying we should wait and she WILL come out!
We waited a long time, but it was worth the wait! Alyssa signed Alyssa's shirt and glove but best of all she took the time to get her photo with Alyssa. Broken nose and all! She made her day complete!

Fun facts about BOTH:
Born in Connecticut
Dirty blonde hair
amazing goal keepers
and of course both are named
ALYSSA
