Spring General Conference (4-6-2014)

I love General Conference weekends!
This year before the Sunday morning session we went on a family walk. On our walk Xander found a chair that had barely been used and was set by the curb with a "free" sign. I have met the people on one of my runs in the past so I said he could keep it as long as 1. it didn't smell and 2. he didn't mind schleping it the 1/2 mile home. Well you know how that goes?!
Mom schleping the cushion part and Xander carrying the metal frame. Hmmm? Not quite equal. Paul wanted no part of it all! He didn't even want him to have the chair!

We dubbed it the conference chair!

To go along with the great conference talks and quotes!

which I got from this great website and spiritually speaking
and used as part of my Easter gifts for the ladies I visit teach-
I love conference and I especially love cute quotes and reminders!

Foxy Loxy (4-2-2014)

What does the fox say?

Apparently not very much when it has it's afternoon snack in it's mouth!

Time for a shave! (March 27, 2014)

For months I have been asking Xander and Paul to shave Xander's whiskers. For some strange reason Xander was against it. Maybe he thought they were manly?
So for the first shave Paul helped out and much to Xander's dismay I took pictures.

Seriously kid, don't deny me of a growing up moment!
Next shave... was all on his own.

This warms my heart!

Winter sunsets

It's hard to think about anything good about winter at this point. I am so sick and tired of it being cold and miserable outside but, if I had to come up with on thing it is the beautiful sunsets.
They feed my soul.

Champs

Much to Alyssa's dismay town basketball has finally come to an end.
What an end it was!

We won all of the playoff games and took the championship on the first night. The girls played hard! The biggest spread was 3 points usually it was 1 or 2 points. Talk about a nail biter that had us on the edge of our seats the whole time!
It has been a great season and we have seen tremendous growth in Alyssa's mad skills!

Early Spring Soccer

Early almost Spring soccer really equates to
late Winter soccer with the snow plowed to the sidelines.

Did I mention that it is quite miserably cold for the player and observer?
At least Xander got to run and play hard and do a great job!
