Pumpkin Picking

Columbus Day is the perfect day to go pumpkin picking! So we met up with a bunch of friends in Monson, MA and spent our afternoon collecting our bounty.

 Thankfully they had trees to keep the kids occupied while we waited in line for ice cream!

A & A's 12th birthday

My neighbor inspired me to make pies for the kids birthday. It was her birthday yesterday and she said her family served her ice cream cake in bed. So I figured why not?! I wanted to make their day special since they were bummed that Paul is out of town ( a first on their birthday) and their ipod's that they are getting don't come out until the 20th of October.

SO pie it was! 

 This was my first attempt at cherry pie- Xander's favorite!

 Mmmmm! What a great way to start their day!

12 years ago my greatest desire came to fruition x2! I couldn't be more blessed! 

Hiker

1, 2, 3 HIKE!

Mom: "Xander what's the name of your position? Hiker, right?"

Xander: "Mom the technical name of my position is Center."

Mom: "I like Hiker better!" 

The lone tomato

This little tomato plant has been trying ever so hard to produce a tomato. 

Maybe it was mad because Xander called it a cucumber plant for the first few months? He planted it in science last Spring and just this past week in LATE SEPTEMBER it produced 1 lone tomato. We are waiting to see if it will ripen and turn red!

State Cup Game 1

Lisette, Paul & Alyssa,

We were very surprised to find this in our email in September! Alyssa has played futsal with Coach Aron before so he knew that she would do great in goal!  To be invited to play on his premiere Elite u13 team is quite an honor! 

Their first game was this past Saturday in Lancaster at 8:30. 

Alyssa was in goal the entire game.

It is single elimination games so if we lost that would have been it,

 but thankfully THEY WON!! 1-0 

Cross Country

On your mark, get set  R-U-N!

The kids had their first cross country meet. It was a blast to go and see. I could feel the excitement in the air. Brought back marathon memories of pride, joy and determination!

 Xander's time was 14:40 for the 1.7 mile trip 

And then the girls were off and running!

 Alyssa sweeps across the finish line to take 3rd place for the girls! 

 Alyssa's time was 13:30

She and her buddy Emma took 2nd and 3rd.
