Feelin' hot hot hot

What do you do in Texas in July when it's high 90's everyday and very humid?
Pool hop!

My crazy girl! She flipped until she perfected it! At least I didn't have to worry about her smacking her head on the side. Just all of the other things that can happen...

Paul was soaring like an eagle (or dropping like a rock)
So scary up there! But I did it!

The kids hit two more pools, but I didn't get pictures. Finally tally 5 pools for a five day trip!

Off to Texas

It was hard to believe my little niece was getting married. She was an itty bitty baby at my wedding. Now she's all grown up and getting married to a wonderful guy!

Melanie and I at her rehersal dinner.
She was so calm and cool, well maybe not so cool it was HOT, stinkin' HOT!

Paul was so happy to hold all the bouquets, or not.

Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Klepfer!

My sister, brother and I
Grandma with almost all of her grandkids. They range in age from 26-5 1/2
Melanie was on her honeymoon
Mmmm! Round Rock donuts are HUGE!
On the rock that Round Rock was named for. Something about covered wagons and the Chisholm trail...
We even got a chance to meet up with some of our LA friends.
It was a great way to end the vacation!

4th of July

We thought we might not make it this year to my sister's because Xander got a bad migraine that morning due to watching Spiderman in 3-D. But thankfully with meds and sleep we were good to go a couple of hours past our depature time. So we made our annual trek to Leslie and David's house for bbq and fireworks!

The fireworks get bigger and better every year! Seriously professional and maybe a wee bit illegal....shhh!
Alyssa found the perfect spot to watch them. I was lying on the trampoline for a bit, but when I started getting pelted by pieces, I decided it was best to move a bit more than 10 feet away!
Happy 4th!

Ice cream and soccer!

June 30th, 2012

We joined our friends for a fun outing in Worcester called The Big Dipper.
*ALL* YOU* CAN* EAT* ICE* CREAM!
HELLO! I'M IN!

Followed by a trip to Boston to see the

Which is the women's professional soccer team. The girls loved it! Especially since they eat, live and breathe soccer! Alyssa was so excited to get an autograph from the goalie.
Maybe one day it will be her signing autographs.... you just never know!

Our favorite hiking spot

Today was the perfect day for a hike! No humidity and beautiful weather so we set off to hike around the lake. I think it is ~5 miles, but Lola probably does 15 because we let her off leash and she runs ahead and then back to us and the ahead.... you get it the picture?!

I love the beautiful blue sky. Apparently so does the hawk soaring above.
I am queen of the rock!
Lola made sure the fericious petrified trees didn't come any closer.

 Looking down into the quarry
 Perfect spot for a picnic!

C'mon guys lets get movin!
